Independents Week, July 4 – 11

Celebrate Your Independents! Businesses in thirteen participating Chicago neighborhoods will offer special promotions and events during “Independents Week,” designed to encourage consumers and policy makers to think hard about how we spend our money. With the future of Chicago’s small businesses and unique neighborhoods at stake, every dollar spent makes a difference. Click here to view the promotions from our member businesses.

Independents Week Bash, featuring “Independent America,” July 11.

Independents Week will culminate on July 11th at 6:30PM with a screening of the new documentary, “Independent America: The Two-Lane Search for Mom and Pop www.independentamerica.net at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division Street. Filmmaker Heather Hughes will be on hand to introduce and discuss the film. The Independent America event will also feature a spread of food and drink from local establishments.
